Central Valley Birding Symposium

We are sorry to announce that due to the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic in the fall months, the Central Valley Birding Symposium is being cancelled for 2020. The Symposium Committee felt that the health of our members, presenters, and staff was our primary consideration in making this decision. If conditions warrant, the Symposium will resume again on Nov 18-21, 2021, at the Stockton Hilton Hotel. We will miss seeing everyone this November, but we hope to see all of you again in 2021. Stay healthy and safe until then.

In the meantime, the CVBC Board continues to maintain the quality of our existing projects while looking for new opportunities to promote our unique focus on the birds of the Central Valley. The Club supports projects benefiting bird conservation through the Waldo Holt Bird Conservation Endowment, and we are a member organization with the Bird Conservation Alliance, the Tricolored Blackbird Working Group, and the California Rangeland Coalition.

Though we had a number of young birders planning on going to bird camps, those too have been put on hold until next year. Luckily, all three bird camps are holding spots for them for 2021.
