2025 Youth Scholarships

Thanks to the support of our members, we were able to send six young birders to camp this summer. We are looking forward to hearing about their experiences at this year’s symposium.

Mackenzie Hollander is the leader of the Sacramento Valley Young Birders Club (SVYBC) and will be attending Hog Island Audubon Camp’s Coastal Maine Bird Studies for Teens.

Also attending Hog Island will be Clayton Rucker of Sebastopol and Aubrey Phipps of Healdsburg. Both are members of the Young Ancient Murrelets (YAMs) youth chapter of the Redwood Region Ornithological Society. Another member of SVYBC, Kayla Peng will be attending Camp Cascades along with YAM member, Elliot Stieinfels of Petaluma.

Leslie Pham of Yuba City is a member of the SVYBC will attend Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center Ornithology Camp.
